All Taaleem schools, including American Academy For Girls (AAG), are governed by a School Executive Board.

In addition, there is an Advisory Board in order to:

  • Facilitate parent and staff involvement
  • Involve members of the community in planning the school’s future
  • Provide feedback to the school on ‘How it is doing' from a wide cross-section of the school community
  • The School Advisory Board (SAB) is made up of parents, staff and community representatives, and members of the Taaleem Executive Board (TEB). SAB members are invited to serve by the Principal.

Adel Al Awadhi
Adel Al AwadhiAdel is a UAE national and earned his BSBA in marketing and international business at Colorado State University and MBA in International Business from the American University in Dubai, he also completed Mohammed Bin Rashid leadership program and Executive Development Program from IMD, Switzerland.

Adel is the Founder and Executive Chairman of The Corporate Group (TCG), his role is managing and advising all the subsidiaries under TCG and developing businesses across the MENA region. Additionally, the role involves opening new potential relationships n partnerships. His business development expertise spans different sectors such as infrastructure, energy, transport, health, training and meditation, BPO, ICT, aviation and facilities management with over 20 years of experience in bidding, acquisitions, JVs & partnerships, strategy, developing national human capital, business growth and being board memberships in the UAE and MENA Region.
 

 

Nawal Al Hammadi
Adel Al AwadhiMs Nawal is the mother of two lovely daughters in grade 5 and grade KG1. She has a professional background in graphic design and currently serves in the MOE in the curriculum development department. She brings a wealth of experience and a great passion for education that will no doubt be of tremendous value to our school community.
Lulu Akkila

Lulu AkkilaLulu is a passionate hands-on professional, with experience in the higher education sector. Currently the Capability Building Manager. Since the very beginning, she was passionate about human development and advancements, performance, and making processes, policies and workflows easier and smoother, She has development many systems, programs, schemes and frameworks that aided in the advancement of individuals and workflows, and she intends to bring this experience to best serve AAG community of student, staff and parents.

Bakr Darwish
Mr Bakr operates as a strategic partner to CEOs in achieving multibillion-dollar performance objectives in both corporate and dynamic start-up environments. Bakr plays an important role in connecting the levers of performance and people. His key assets include being dynamic, recognized as a regional leader in Saudization strategy, trusted advisor shaping HR practices that align with the strategic and commercial priorities to drive uplifts and performance, building capability, championing diversity, enabling sustainable and profitable growth. He represented P&G in workshops with the Ministry of Labor to drive enhancement of HR policies in Saudi Arabia. Bakr’s achievements include but not limited to creating an integrated, standardized talent management strategy and framework across the region, receiving the Global Award for Best Execution of acquisition and divestment activity.
