American Academy For Girls (AAG) is a world-class Taaleem school that was developed to provide a rigorous American education that will prepare the next generation of women to be innovative leaders in their local and global community.

Our school follows the New York State Education Department, NYSED which identifies high standards that are aligned to the expectations of colleges in America and abroad. These rigorous standards provide teachers, parents, and students with a set of clear expectations to ensure that all students have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and life upon graduation from high school, regardless of where they live. The standards promote equity by ensuring all students are well prepared to collaborate and compete with their peers in the UAE and abroad.

Embedded in the Common Core curriculum are opportunities for students to develop socially, emotionally and academically. The American Academy for Girls is committed to recognizing each student’s unique talents and abilities. In an all-girls’ environment, our students focus on developing their individual voice, perspectives and opinions. During these formative years, their views of what constitutes a well-educated and well-balanced young woman are free of the influences often present in a co-educational school.

Our girls are well-versed in multicultural dialogue that will allow them to have a positive impact on the world and lives of others.

Within our Mission Statement, we highlight our commitment to promoting our students’ respect for cultural diversity, and our aim to develop intrinsically-motivated global citizens. From 4th grade, students have the opportunity to travel to locations inside and outside of the United Arab Emirates. Over the past two years, our young ladies have travelled to Oman, England, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Singapore and Malaysia. Trips abroad and digital connections ensure AAG students are well-versed in multicultural dialogue that will allow them to have a positive impact on the world and lives of others.

AAG runs a number of innovative programs and approaches to teaching, which add breadth and depth to the curriculum and the quality of education:

  • As an Apple™ Light House School there we place a strong emphasis on integrating technology throughout the curriculum.
  • Art is Life: The mission of the Fine Arts Program is to provide an environment that nurtures a life-long appreciation of the fine arts through the study of multicultural artistic perspectives.
  • Through the provision of the American Curriculum and Extra-curricular Program, our students are recognized for their high levels of academic achievement. As a result, many of our students have studied medicine, engineering and veterinary science at their chosen universities.

Our goal is to enable our students to grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

We offer a challenging and rigorous education within a nurturing environment, ensuring that students at American Academy for Girls are well prepared to be change agents in the world!  AAG has joint accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS) as well as consistently good ratings from the KHDA. We strive to demand excellence from our teachers and students in order to lay a strong foundation for our AAG young women to live lives that will be intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually enriching.
