Our High School Program at AAG helps your daughters make the transition from adolescents into young adults in a supportive, single-gender environment that takes into account the students’ specific developmental needs.
Academics
The High School Program offers a rigorous American college preparatory curriculum. Even though the program is challenging, it is tailored to the individual needs and goals of our students. CORE classes will meet five days per week. Students study English, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science, and can earn additional credits in Information and Communication Technology, Physical Education, Foreign Language/Arabic, Fine Arts and elective classes. Students must earn a minimum of 26 credit hours to receive an AAG High School Diploma.
Students become more independent, accept responsibility for their own education, and assume leadership roles within our school and subsequently the outside community.
Ninth and tenth grade students will have the opportunity to engage in pre-AP (Advanced Placement) activities in certain of their regular classes. A limited number of carefully screened students entering Grades 11 and 12 will be offered the opportunity to select from a variety of AP classes. This premier academic program for university preparation is the most widely recognized program in American curriculum universities around the world, and it enables students to earn university credits while still in high school. Equally important is the fact that students who participate in this prestigious program perform better in their higher education classes.
We are confident that AAG’s combination of academic, athletic and social activities will serve our girls well as they venture into life beyond High School.
