Inclusion at AAG
At AAG, we are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student receives the support they need to thrive. Our Inclusion Department provides specialized services for Students of Determination (SoD), English Language Learners (ELL), Gifted and Talented (GAT) students, and students requiring Arabic and Islamic Learning Support.
Our Approach
We assess students upon entry and follow a structured identification process to determine the appropriate level of support needed. Our graduated response model ensures that every student receives personalized learning interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Students of Determination (SoD)
Our team works to remove barriers to learning through:
- High-Quality Differentiation – Tailored instruction within the classroom to support diverse learning needs.
- Targeted Support – Small group interventions for students requiring additional assistance.
- Specialist Support – Access to external intervention services (arranged and funded by parents) for students with specific needs.
- Early Intervention & Transition Support – Collaboration with Early Intervention Centres to ensure smooth transitions into mainstream education.
English Language Development
At AAG, we provide structured support for English as an Additional Language (EAL) students and English Language Learners (ELL).
- EAL (English as an Additional Language): Students with some English proficiency who may need support to develop fluency in academic settings.
- ELL (English Language Learners): Beginner or early intermediate students who require structured language support to fully engage in classroom learning.
As an Accredited Communication-Friendly Setting, our goal is to build students' confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and engage with peers.
Our EAL & ELL Program provides:
- Quality Differentiation – Classroom instruction adapted to students' language acquisition needs.
- Targeted Support – Small group interventions tailored to proficiency levels:
- Levels 1 & 2 – Intensive daily intervention for beginner English learners.
- Levels 3 & 4 – In-class differentiation to support language development.Gifted and Talented (GAT)
Our GAT team, led by the Inclusion Heads, provides opportunities to challenge and extend learning for exceptional students through:
- Quality Differentiation – High-level instruction designed to stretch students' abilities.
- Personalized Learning – Tailored experiences that align with students' strengths and talents.
