American Academy For Girls (AAG) offers a variety of advanced placement choices in the high school. Students who are interested in the sciences, math, history, or art can choose many courses to fulfill their interests. In addition, we also offer Advanced Placement courses, which are externally monitored.
We currently offer AP English Literature, AP English Language, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP World History, and AP Statistics, but are looking to add additional courses in the future in order for students to be able to achieve an international AP Diploma. Students must pass a subject placement test for admission into these courses. In addition, students who register for any of our AP courses are required to sit an AP exam. This exam is external, and there is a cost involved.
These courses are college level courses, and some universities will allow up to three college credits for students if they achieve a score of 3 or higher on the exam.
